Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and volunteer or lawn-sign preferences when you fill out forms on this site. Donation pages also collect contribution details through our payment processor; the campaign does not store complete payment card information.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your requests, coordinate volunteer activities, deliver lawn signs, send campaign updates, process contributions, and meet reporting requirements under Ontario municipal election law.

Email and communications

If you donate, volunteer, request a lawn sign, or contact us, we may email you about that request — such as a contribution receipt or a confirmation — and we may send occasional campaign updates about the 2026 election.

Managing your preferences: every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Selecting it opens a secure preference page where you can opt out of campaign email, and opt back in later if you change your mind. Opting out takes effect immediately and applies to all campaign email sent to that address.

You may also ask us to remove your email address, phone number, or mailing address from our records at any time by emailing tatijsutherland@gmail.com or calling (705) 644-1888. Records the campaign must keep for election financial reporting cannot be deleted until those legal obligations end.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help operate the website, process payments, or send emails, and we may disclose information when required by law or to comply with election-financing rules.

Cookies and analytics

This site may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the website and to improve its performance. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some features may not work as intended.

Donor disclosure

Ontario municipal election rules may require the campaign to report contributor names, addresses, and contribution amounts. By donating, you acknowledge that your information may be disclosed as required by law.

We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described above or to comply with legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
